Le Cat Cafe is located in the heart of Brewerytown in Philadelphia and has a lovely spacious cat lounge area where you can chill with the cats.
All of their cats come from Green Street Rescue, a local non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing stray and homeless cats and giving them the best possible life.

MeWow Cat Cafe
Address – 3617 Old Easton Rd, Doylestown, PA 18902
Phone – 267-247-5303
Website – http://mewow.cafe/
MeWow Cat Cafe first opened its doors in 2019. They say themselves it’s been a ‘wild ride’ since then, but have survived the pandemic and the other things that have come their way.
The cafe is barn-themed, and their cats live cage-free in the kitty corral until adopted and given a forever home.
For me, this is why cat cafes are so special. They’re not there for pure entertainment or to make money, they are adoption centers giving cats in need of a home a second chance.
Cattfeinated Cat Cafe
Address – 159 E Otterman St, Greensburg, PA 15601
Phone – 878-214-8075
Website – https://www.greensburgcatcafe.com/
Cattfeinated Cat Cafe is Greensburg’s first cat café, and they say they’re bringing, “a new approach to pet adoption with a twist.”
What they mean by this is that you can drop by and enjoy a drink and something to eat while being surrounded by free-roaming cats, and end up adopting one!
Cattfeinated Cat Cafe has teamed up with the local rescue group, Wayward Whiskers. All of their cats are homeless when taken in, and they’ve done an amazing job of placing more than 280 cats into homes so far!
The Black Cat Market
Address – 5135 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15224
Phone – 412-408-2218
Website – https://blackcatmarketpgh.com/
“The black cat market is all about cats, coffee, and community.” Described as a part cafe, and part adoption center, you can drop in for a coffee – and walk out with having adopted a cat.
They run a lot of events and parties, so it’s a great choice if you want to book somewhere a little different for an upcoming event.
If you want to see some cute pictures of cats, just take a look at their ‘current cats’ page on their website. It’s sure to put a smile on your face.
Treetops Kitty Cafe
Address – 305 W State St, Kennett Square, PA 19348
Phone – 610-925-2908
Website – http://www.treetopskittycafe.com/
“Treetops is a rescue that pulls the majority of our cats from highly crowded shelters or intercepts them on their way there.”
For a small donation – which goes towards cat welfare – you can hang out with their cats, enjoy good food and drink, and maybe even make new friends.
To date, Treetops Kitty Cafe says they’ve adopted 699 cats to date which is a huge number. It goes to show what a big impact cat cafes can have within local communities.

“Cat Cuddles & Coffee” that’s the simple message when you visit the Purrfect Mugs Cat Cafe website.
Their mission is to help as many local homeless cats as they can, and they do this by adopting cats into their cat cafe and making them available for adoption.

The Cat Nook Cafe is located in the heart of downtown Norwood. It’s supported in partnership with the Animal Coalition of Delaware County and is run entirely by volunteers.
You can enjoy a cup of tea, coffee, or some other drink while spending time with some of the lovable cats, and all profits go back to benefit the cats.
If you want to see their cats, I recommend checking out their Instagram page. You may even be able to volunteer your time if they have spots available.
What to Expect at a Cat Cafe
If you’ve never been to a cat cafe, you’re in for an experience.
Each cafe is unique and you can’t be sure exactly what to expect, but what you can expect is drink, food, and cats roaming around.
It’s exactly what it sounds like; a cafe with cats.
The best advice I can give you is to check the cat cafe’s website before turning up. You will almost certainly have to book ahead of time to secure a space in the cafe.
Cat cafes have strict rules on how many people they can let in at one time. This is to ensure the cats are not stressed out or overstimulated by having too many customers around them.
You should also see a list of their rules on their site or when you book. Make sure you read those carefully, each cafe has its own rules in place to safeguard the wellness of their cats.
