Looking for cat cafes in Colorado?
At the time of writing this, there was one cat cafe in Colorado and another one planned to open later in the year.
If you’re a cat lover, visiting a cat cafe is an absolute must. You get to spend time cuddling cats, have a drink and something to eat, and you’re supporting a great cause.
Here is the location of cat cafes in Colorado:

Denver Cat Company has been open since 2014. All of the cats in the cafe are taken in from rescues and are up for adoption.
The environment inside Denver Cat Company is relaxing – for both the cats and customers – it’s cleverly designed to provide plenty of interaction for cats, and the cats are super-friendly.
Cat Shelters in Colorado
If you can’t make it to the Denver Cat Company cafe, I thought I’d list a couple of the best cat shelters in Colorado where you can also visit cats for adoption.
Obviously, you’re not getting the same cozy setting and range of food and drink as you do at a cat cafe, but their mission is the same – to raise awareness and rehome cats.

First Time at a Cat Cafe? What to Expect!
If you’ve never been to a cat cafe before, I can give you a good idea of what to expect.
Each cafe is going to be different, of course, but you can expect a combination of a cafe plus a cat adoption center for the most part.
Most cat cafes are run by cat-lovers and have a mission to help the local homeless cat population.
A lot of cat cafes take in cats from local rescues and shelters and give them a new home in their cafe. They also make their cats available for adoption for customers.
They are essentially operating as pet adoption centers and using food and drink as a way for people to come and spend some time with the cats.
Don’t let this put you off if you’re just a casual visitor though. Any donations are going to help the cafe with its mission, and ultimately help rehome at-risk cats.
Something important to keep in mind is that you will most likely have to book a time slot to visit.
Cat cafes have strict rules on how many customers can visit at a time to ensure their cats aren’t stressed by the number of people coming and going.
You will also likely see some rules on their website. Make sure you read these and are fully aware of how you need to behave and the dos and don’ts when visiting!
