Naming a cat is always fun, albeit a little stressful too sometimes!
Anyone who has owned a calico cat will also agree that it’s even tougher naming these cute and colorful kitties.
There is so much going with their multi-colored coats and they are known for having such lovable and unique personalities.
So it deserves some thought and consideration before giving them their name. Think about how you’re going to explain it to others, and how it sounds calling it out to the neighborhood looking for them at night.
It can’t be too weird or quirky, right?
Well, that’s up to you. I’ve included some weird and unique names if that’s what you’re after.
I’ve also included some cool sounding Japanese names, funny names that relate to calico cats, names from Disney characters, and more.
I’m sure you’ll find the perfect name somewhere in this post. Good luck and feel free to let me know in the comments which name you settled on!

we named our siamese kitten Ralphie, because we got him when the tv was playing that movie with the leg lamp and the boy (Ralphie) wanted a bb gun. the line was always that he would get hurt by shooting an eye out. well this dumb kitten kept attacking our old and very crabby maine coons tale that was thumping her displeasure. she would bat him and he would sail on our hard wood, only to run right back. we kept caalling out Ralphie, you’re going to shoot an eye out! and then he just came to his name that we didn’t mean to name-but fit him! he was the best cat I ever had.
